Nearly one-third of children’s products sold on 13 online shopping sites failed quality tests, including some made by Shanghai companies, according to China’s top market watchdog.

They include seven types of goods such as shoes, clothing, toys, roller skates, and baby straps. In total, there were 116 batches of substandard goods, accounting for 28.9 percent, according to the State Administration for Market Regulation.
